I had a good reason…

Ok, so I cast something on last night. Don’t give me that look, I know what you’re thinking. I do have a legit reason.. ^_^

It’s a gift. Not for me. For some friends’ mom. Yep. There, see? It’s a great reason.

It’s the Dovetail Cowl by Carina Spencer (who is also the designer of the *adorable* mermaid hat that I made (which isn’t it’s real name, but yeah :-P)

My yarn is Classic Elite’s Liberty Wool (color is 7846, if you’re interested :-P) and I got two balls. Which should be plenty. The size I’m making calls for 220 yds, and with both balls, I have 244 yds. Not a whole lot left over, but enough to lengthen it, if I wanted to :-)

I really enjoy patterns like this. You can’t really see what the pattern is going to look like until you’ve done at least 10 rows. It’s fun to try and guess what it’s going to do, what it’s going to look like. It’s also reversible, which is pretty cool, if you ask me.
